About Me
If you didn't already know
I grew up in Aurora, Indiana, so there wasn't much to do outside of trying to stay out of trouble. I began listening to music at an early age and watched groups like the "Jackson Five" on TV back in the day. After listening to various styles of music including country and bluegrass in my dad's International Pickup Truck and going to my first concert, Kiss 1979 "Dynasty Tour", I was hooked. Dancing around on stage and playing live became a part of me and a wonderful way of expression.

Many years have past and I still love more than anything to play music and have fun. After getting that first guitar and making my way through high school I joined the U.S. Army. I didn't play much at all those first couple years, but after arriving in Germany in 1985 I managed to hook up with some great guys ( Phil Linthincum, Karl Coleman, Charles "Batman" Batterton, Kermit Harless, and Ben Moore ) to form "Anthem" and later evolving into "After Image". During this period is when I started working more on writing orignals. We played our first orginal out during one of the many German Festival performances, the self titled "After Image".

After returning to the states in 1989 and traveling to Tacoma, Washington for the remainder of my enlistment I became more aquainted with that second guitar, the acoustic, my parents got me for Christmas back in high school.

My wife at the time also bought me my first twelve string acoustic which really got my passion going for the sound of an acoustic instrument. Two wonderful passions...a wonderful person and a wonderful instrument both to which I still love.

After realizing how difficult it was going to be to form a band I started playing for military shows, thanks to William Strock, and gaining a bit more confidence in performing as an acoustic act. I began writing more and sharing my thoughts with those who would listen.

After getting out of the Army I continued to play acoustic at local bars in and around Aurora, IN. That went on for a while until Jimmy Cunningham talked me into getting together with a couple guys in Harrison, Ohio. Later that year, 1994, Maker Hollow was born. Thanks to Jimmy four guys got together and spent a great deal of time being a band. That lasted until 2000 went things began to change. By 2002 The Hollow was done performing as we know it.

In 2001 a side project began forming called Payper Jam. It started while working at Mars Music Superstore in Cincinnati, Ohio. Payper Jam went through some growing pains and name changes before slowing down in 2003.

After a couple Solo projects and line up changes "6 Again" has begun to take shape. Be sure to check us out very soon.
